No car. Ferry from Salerno. The Sentiero degli Dei if your knees allow. One boat day along the coast.

Day 1

Arrive by water

Positano

  1. Salerno ferry into the cove.
  2. Granita, then the stairs.
  3. Dinner where the fishermen sit.

Day 2

The path of the gods

Positano

  1. Early bus to Bomerano.
  2. Walk the Sentiero into town.
  3. Swim. Do not plan dinner until you can feel your legs.

Day 3

A boat that is not a tour

Positano

  1. Hire a small boat for the morning.
  2. Capri only if the water is flat.
  3. Long lunch. Nothing after.

Day 4

Leave the same way

Positano

  1. Coffee on the third terrace.
  2. Ferry out. Do not look back until the town is a stack of color.
